8/2/09 - MARKETING TEAM BRINGS HOME MORE AWARDS 

- River Spirit Casino’s marketing efforts received Romero Award at a special awards breakfast held at the Paris Casino in Las Vegas, NV during the 2009 Casino Marketing Conference. This well recognized marketing team came home with the top award at the conference, the Diamond Romero Award in the Large Casino Direct Mail Campaign category. The Diamond was earned for the “Turning 21” crusade that helped the casino transition from 18 and older to 21 and older. The promotion consisted of a magnet with a $10 Rewards Play offer, a free meal, or a free drink. This magnet was sent to each card holder at Creek Nation Casino under the age of 21, to be redeemed on the card holders 21st Birthday. “This is a way for us to, not only apologize to these loyal guests for no longer allowing them into the casino, but also, celebrating a huge milestone in their lives with them,” stated Alison Nichols Loyalty Marketing Manager at River Spirit Casino. River Spirit Casino also received a Gold Romero Award in the Large Casino VIP Promotion category, for the Academy Awards VIP Party. This was a one-of-a-kind event that pampered the guests as if they were really attending the Academy Awards. Each guest received a hand delivered invitation with a flower arrangement and their own individual Academy Award. This party was not only a fun event for our VIP’s to attend, but also, a big success for the Player Development Department at River Spirit Casino. A Silver Romero Award was also given to River Spirit Casino in the Large Casino PR Campaign category for the OBI: Donate and Drive giveaway. Last summer, the Casino teamed up with the Oklahoma Blood Institute to provide all blood donors in northwestern Oklahoma with $5 Rewards Play at the casino and a chance to win a 2008 Jeep Wrangler. This opportunity helped create over 211 mobile blood drives and 5,435 donations. “We are glad that OBI gave us the opportunity to be apart of the amazing work that they do in the state of Oklahoma,” stated Director of Marketing for River Spirit Casino Jennifer Cross.
