RSC ANNOUNCES STAFF GROWTH INTERNALLY, AND EXTERNALLY 

River Spirit Casino, one of Oklahoma’s premier gaming & entertainment facilities, owned and operated by the Muscogee (Creek) Nation announced the hiring of a new staff member and the promotion of two internal staff members. Joseph Wolff, originally from Somerville, NJ, has recently joined River Spirit Casino as the Controller for the new $195 million casino. Joseph has over 15 years experience as a public and private accountant, is a CPA, and holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance, Real Estate, and Accounting. Most recently Joseph played a key role in opening Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino as the CFO and Director of Finance. “I am very excited to be here in Tulsa and apart of the River Spirit Casino team, I am eager to make a contribution to the success here,” said Joseph of his recent appointment. The new Public Relations Manager at River Spirit Casino is Tiffany Ellis. Tiffany is a Muscogee (Creek) citizen, who previously held the position of Marketing Administrative Assistant. Tiffany joined the property more than a year ago, transferring from Creek Nation Casino-Muscogee and has made many contributions since her arrival. Most recently, her impact on the public relations aspect of opening River Spirit Casino, which included the planning of the press conference where the name of the casino was revealed and the opening day events. She is very ambitious and is highly driven towards the success of, not only River Spirit Casino, but also the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. “Tiffany has shown many leadership capabilities, as well as, event planning and organization skills. She brings a fresh look to the public relations area at River Spirit Casino,” said Jennifer Cross, Director of Marketing for River Spirit Casino. Jim Christan, previously the Financial Analyst, has recently been promoted, to the new position of Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Jim joined the Muscogee (Creek) Nation casino team five years ago as the Operations/Financial Manager at the Duck Creek Casino property, later becoming the General Manager. Jim left Duck Creek in July 2008 to join the Tulsa team as the Financial Analyst. Jim has over 12 years experience in Financial Planning and played a huge role in finalizing the financing for the new River Spirit Casino. “Jim’s financial background in this industry has already proven him to be a valuable asset to our casino business during this sensitive economic atmosphere,” stated Shawn S. Smyth General Manager at River Spirit Casino of Jim’s recent promotion.
