Tulsa’s Rock Station, 97.5 KMOD is partnering with Oklahoma Blood Institute to help ensure community blood supplies continue to “rock” through the winter for every patient who needs blood. Everyone who donates at a KMOD Blood Drive, January 20 through 23, will receive a limited edition KMOD “Feel Like A Rock Star” t-shirt and a warm OBI beanie cap. All donors will be entered to win a Nickelback autographed guitar and a pair of tickets to the group’s April 24 concert at the BOK Center. “We appreciate 97.5 KMOD for their partnership in implementing this generous promotion for our donors,” said John Armitage, M.D., Oklahoma Blood Institute president and CEO. “Their commitment to help maintain blood inventories for our communities during the winter months will make a lasting difference in the lives of hundreds of patients who will need blood in the weeks to come, and in the lives of the friends and family members who love them.” The 97.5 KMOD Blood Drive kick-off event is being hosted by River Spirit Casino, 81st and Riverside, January 20, 7 a.m.-7p.m. Donors can meet Phil & Brent, Lynn Hernandez and KC as they broadcast live from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. from the stage of the casino’s Mystic River Lounge. Donors at River Spirit Casino, who must be 21 or older, will receive $10 match play and a chance to win one of five River Spirit Casino grand prizes: Dinner-for-two at Visions Buffet plus $25 free play.
